Hi, I’m Kayla. I live in Brighton, England, a city about an hour south from London. I’m a freelance writer and responsible travel specialist. I love creating travel content that showcases local culture and creatives, small businesses, and underrepresented communities. London is my favourite city, but beyond the U.K. my favourite place is Thailand. It’s somewhere I hope to visit again and again so that I can get to know it on a deeper level.

What’s at the top of your travel bucket list?

This changes every month but right now it’s Jamaica!

What is one thing you could never travel without?

A journal. I’m always writing and find that I’m most inspired when I’m away. I love finding cozy coffee shops where I can people watch and journal.

Top travel tip?

Get to know the local culture through its creatives i.e. writers, musicians, artists, etc. They will show you what makes that place unique and you’ll get to see the beauty of it through their eyes.
