Who is Jennifer Lewis?
I’m the CEO and Co-Founder of Lex. Lex is a social app for the LGBTQ Community (rated as Apple’s top app for Pride in 2021 and 2023). I’m originally from the UK but now I live in Bedstuy,Brooklyn. I’ve called NYC my crazy beautiful home for eight years. I’m always on the move—travel gives me fresh energy and creative inspiration. My side joy is to paint. I have a studio called The Future is Fluid (bold, expressive, alive art to move you somewhere).

Where are you going?
I’m going to Nosara, Costa Rica. It’s only accessible by hours on dirt roads and driving through mini rivers. I’m going there for rejuvenation through its unspoilt beaches and jungle.
Who are you going with?
I’m going solo. It's a new thing for me to travel solo! I’ve always travelled with friends and partners before, however I found I loved it so much. It creates so much space and the chance to deeply connect with a place and myself. I feel so strong and powerful travelling alone—plus you open yourself up to meeting so many people so you feel as connected as ever.
What’s your travel style?
I used to be a pack-it-all-in, crazy agenda, see everything on the list, kind of traveller. But now I'm taking the time to move slower and feel a place out more gently.
What I Like.
It’s hard to get to which makes it more rewarding. And it’s beautiful—think lush green trees, ripe mangoes and clear blue skies. It's soul opening—think salty toes and sandy hair and deep breaths that make you feel alive.
What I Recommend.
Bodhi Tree Yoga - the yoga studio I dream about! It’s a huge space elevated in the jungle with a sea view, and it's incredible. I can't recommend it enough.
La Luna - beachside fish dinners at sunset.
Harmony Hotel - for luxe spicy mezcal cocktails at the green tiled bar.
Naked Food - a vegan restaurant for healthy healing plates.
Bloom - handmade delicate clothes and jewelry
What is your must-pack item?
Gold jewelry. I layer it with a ring on every finger to bring a touch of magic to even the simplest of outfits.
Carry-on or check-in?
I *aspire* to be a carry-on girl - but sometimes a girl’s gotta check a case for the outfits.
Hotel or Airbnb?
Airbnb so I can feel at home.
