With so many different trips to choose from at El Camino, we get that it’s hard to know which one is right for you. The good news is that we’ve got trips for every type of traveler. Whether you prefer a more relaxed itinerary or you’re on a mission to experience as much as possible, we have a trip that will suit your pace and style. Which one of the following four types of travelers do you resonate with the most?

The Go-Getter

The Go-Getter takes their vacation seriously. They’re on a mission to get the most out of every experience and bring that boss bitch energy to everything they do. Sound like you? Our high-energy trips are your perfect match. Culturally immersive and action-packed, our Bolivia trip is our most adventurous itinerary. You’ll experience a well-rounded tour of world-class design, gastronomy, and textiles, all while visiting some of the world’s most beautiful landscapes and experiencing thriving ancient traditions. Our Cuba trip comes in a close second, with a full schedule of dynamic and highly-curated experiences. Cuba's energy is unmistakably attractive—in other words, your day might start with a tour of Old Havana or a visit to a tobacco farm and an introduction to Cuban cigar rolling, ending with an energetic salsa class and dancing until dawn.

The Foodie

This type of traveler knows that you can’t experience a country without trying its food. Food (and the culinary traditions that surround it) is one of the most intimate ways to connect with people and understand their culture. Do you find yourself turning down side streets in search of the best local dishes? Are your city maps dotted with brunch spots, food markets, and backstreet restaurants? We’re all about it. And so are these trips. Our Oaxaca trip will have you eating your way through one of Mexico's most exciting and creative cities. You’ll experience an authentic barbacoa feast, visit an agave farm with fifth-generation mezcal distillers, go on a street food tour, and try fresh produce from local market stalls. Otherwise, check out our Trinidad & Tobago trip for cooking classes, street food experiences, and a traditional East-Indian lunch that’s served on banana leaves on the beach.

The Soul Searcher

The Soul Searcher travels for inspiration. Always on the lookout for authentic moments, they’re genuinely curious and ask a lot of questions so that they can fully understand everything going on around them. They embrace new experiences and often make lasting changes in their own lives as a result of their travels. Ready for a deep dive into a new culture? Join our Guatemala trip to check out the largest collection of Guatemalan art at a private estate-turned-museum, experience a hands-on weaving and natural dye workshop, and enjoy locally foraged cuisine. You’ll get to know the varied cultures and dramatic landscapes of Guatemala, all while connecting to the people and supporting the local creative economy. Our Morocco trip is an equally once-in-a-lifetime experience. Creative types will love exploring the nooks and crannies of Morocco’s budding arts scene, as well as discovering an array of cultural activities like intimate musical performances, rug-making experiences, shopping with local artisans, and more.

The Take-It-Slow Traveler

This type likes to wind down and lean into moments of reconnection and rejuvenation while traveling. As women, we often take on the burden of planning trips for ourselves, our partners, and our families. But sometimes we just need a break. If private islands, catamarans, sun, sea, and sand are just your speed, then our Nicaragua trip is for you. Take a dip in Laguna de Apoyo—a volcanically heated lagoon known to have healing powers, cruise the Emerald Coast on a catamaran, and visit secluded coves that are perfect for lazy afternoon swims. Set at a similar pace, our Greece trip will have you exploring hidden gems along the Paros coastline, discovering untapped beaches, visiting a sleepy mountain town, and tasting local wines. The leisurely pace of these trips is pretty pronounced, allowing you to rest and recharge while still getting to know the dynamic culture of each destination.
